A 35-year-old motorcyclist has died following an accident near Oxford at the weekend.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash at about 3.30pm on Saturday.
The man's blue Suzuki motorcycle and a maroon Fiat Punto collided on the A418 near the turn-off to the M40 Wheatley service area.
The motorcyclist, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Friends of the victim left flowers at the scene.
Sgt Bill Sykes, of Abingdon roads policing department, said: "I appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or saw the vehicles prior to the collision, to contact police immediately."
Sgt Sykes said the motorcyclist, who was from High Wycombe, was travelling up the slip road from the A40 to the A418, in the same direction as the Fiat, when the accident happened. The A418 was closed for four hours while traffic accident investigators were at the scene.
A spokesman for Oxford coroner's office said the motorcyclist's name was not expected to be released until today.
Anyone with information about the crash should contact police on 08458 505505 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
